Blast

Hellbound and all hellbent
Handshakes and best intent
Of setting off a resurrection
Cold stare and weapons drawn
Cold light and early dawn
Still leaves me with that one big question
That I can't answer
Can we cure this cancer, or is it

Too much, too fast, two months out of in the past
Are we ready and able to deal with this unstable
Situation that we are in
Even though the first part was a blast
Its too soon yet to say it's gonna last

Old parts for new machines
Old hands that won't come clean
And borderlines in all directions
Well armored to the hilt
To deal with any guilt
Arising from that one big question
That I can't solve
Can we be absolved, or is it

Too much, too fast, two months out of in the past
Are we ready and able to deal with this unstable
Situation that we are in
Even though the first part was a blast
Its too soon yet to say it's gonna last

And still my hands will not come clean
I'm saying things that I don't mean
I'm holding out for the common good
Just like I said I never would
