Uphill Climb
I'm mostly unaware exactly where I'm going
Or how long I'll be there, I'm pretty sure the strain is showing
I can't pretend that there's a thrill in not quite knowing
I'm mostly unaware
But I won't screw up a lot this time
Even though the road from here to anywhere is an uphill climb
You can learn a lot from a heartless mind
But it's a mindless heart I'm headed for on an uphill climb
This isn't a complaint, but looking at the recent past
I can't find anything to hold on to that's holding fast
Except the thought of you, and that's the only thought that lasts
